Hosted in Newtown, one of Joburg’s most popular cultural districts, at Museum Africa, the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, The Bass Line and Mary Fitzgerald Square the One Africa Festival raises the profile of our sponsors within the community, the country and the continent.
It positions Johannesburg as the multi-cultural hotpot of Africa, putting it on the map, from a local and international tourism perspective as the World Class African City, we aim to achieve this.
One Consciousness
One of the primary objectives of the festival is to Educate and during the festival through the discussion workshops around the film festival and the Literary Lecture Series.
The festival intends to focus on establishing a substantive and consistent educational component on Africa and African History by ensuring that the best of African Scholars and Teachers are brought to share with Africa’s Stars of the Future, our youth.
Issues such as African Unity and dialogue on Xenophobia and African integration will be a focal point.
