Proposed Venue: Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Newtown

 

One Voice. One Motion

The One Africa Film Festival will be hosted in the luxurious 350 Seater in Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Newtown and will run throughout the festival.

With a special selection of the award winning films from all the major African Film Festivals held both on the Continent and the Globe, such as Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival, the London African Film Festival and others, and as such, the One Africa Film Festival will become the hub for the best of African Cinema.

Awards: Winner at the Media that Matters Film Festival; Texas Black Film Festival; Current TV Viewers Choice award and Our Stage Viewers Choice award.


 


 


From a Whisper by Wanuri  Kahiu  - Kenya

Awards: Best Feature Narrative at the PAFF; the Special BAFTA/LA Festival Choice Award. Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Picture, Best Original Soundtrack and AMAA Achievement in Editing at the African Movie Academy Awards 2009.


 


 


The Figurine by Kunle Afolayan - Nigeria

Awards
: Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Achievement in Visual Effects,
Best film from Nigeria (Heart of Africa Award) and Ramsey Nouah won Best Actor for his role in The Figurine at the African Movie Academy Awards 2010.


 


 


Nothing but the Truth by John Kani - South Africa

Awards: The Silver Stallion of Yennenga at Fespaco; the Ousmane Sembene Prize for Peace; Best African film and Catholic Church peace prize at the Milan International film festival 2009.
